PROPERTY MARKET SEES SHARP UPTURN - 10th January 2008
Award-winning estate agents Beadnall Copley have started 2008
with a positive message to home buyers to have confidence in the
market staying stable – and even growing – backed by reports of a
rise in prices later in the year and confidence amongst consumers.
Andrew Beadnall: “The property market has performed spectacularly in
recent years far exceeding any other investments.
“A recent poll carried out by YouGov for The Sunday Times showed
that a high proportion of people – 54% - believe prices will stay
the same or rise in 2008. We are looking forward to capitalise on
this strong message, which will be further enhanced with the recent
reduction in interest rates and more on the horizon to make January
and beyond a busy period.
“We’re delighted to say that since we came back to work on the 27th
December, the offices have been very busy. We’re seeing much more
footfall leading to many more valuations and lots of people
registering on our mailing list.
“We’ve also seen a very encouraging increase in viewings and to our
delight we are selling properties as well. All in all, the five
working days from end of December into early January have been far
busier than the last quarter of 2007. The phones are continually
ringing, we’ve had offers and sales being agreed, which is excellent
news.”
David Copley confirms that both the Harrogate and Ripon offices are
also seeing very positive signs: “We’ve noticed a sharp upturn in
enquiries from potential buyers since December so are using this
‘New Year, new start’ enthusiasm to further promote our properties.
“There’s definitely movement in the market – further evidence is
that since our last advertisement, we’ve seen thirty new
instructions for properties in the Harrogate office alone – ranging
from £149,000 to £995,000 - including some lovely town houses, which
we feel will create lots of interest.”
Beadnall Copley, known for their proactive marketing, is introducing
new initiatives in the Spring – including one for the first time
buyer market, helping stimulate the market from the entry level.
The firm has enjoyed a successful 12 months, with the first six
months of 2007 showing their highest sales yet in their 17 year
history; the year was crowned with the winning of two prestigious
accolades for Best Marketing Campaign in two price categories,
£250,000 - £750,000 and over £750,000 at Yorkshire’s Finest Property
Awards, beating entries from regional and national estate agents. In
both cases they showed great innovation in marketing with judges
praising how ‘they went the extra mile’.
Andrew: “We are particularly delighted with winning these awards;
for us, it was further clarification that our approach of providing
a personal service and expert marketing really gets results and has
put us at the forefront of our industry.
“Most encouragingly, we have seen numerous homeowners making contact
with us to arrange for their properties to go on the market because
of our success at these important awards.”
