This survey is
recommended for any house purchase, particularly if it is an older
property. A detailed report, it looks at every aspect of structural issues
such as the roof, checks for damp, rot and subsidence and investigates
the condition of services – plumbing, wiring, heating and drainage.
This survey gives an expert opinion on whether a property is a
reasonable purchase or not and outlines work that needs to be done plus
planned maintenance over five years. An opinion is given on value and
indication of rebuilding costs – homeowners often over-insure and money
can be saved on premiums as building costs are usually less than the
